At Morrisons we’re big supporters of all key workers, especially frontline NHS colleagues. We’ve been there for them over the last year with our NHS Hour, discount in store and raising over £100,000 for NHS Charities Together through our gingerbread biscuit and tote bag.
So, we’re delighted to be the headline sponsor for the NHS Charities Together celebration of the NHS Big Tea. And have set ourselves a target to raise £250,000!
We’ll be getting the par-tea started early in the lead up to the main event, from Afternoon Tea Boxes to in-store fundraising, so customers and colleagues will have lots of ways to get involved.
David Potts, Morrisons Chief Exec, said:
“As we move forward with hope for a brighter future, we’re incredibly proud to continue our support for all those in the NHS – who have shown care and resilience in the toughest of times.
“Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve done our best to be there for the NHS. From early shopping hours to ensure doctors and nurses had the food they needed to discounts on groceries to show our thanks. And now we’re delighted to be supporting the NHS Big Tea. We’re fully behind this important day and look forward to a cup of tea and a moment of reflection on the 5th July.”
Look out for more details as we move towards the big day, where every penny will champion wellbeing, respite, counselling and more for our NHS heroes.
Morrisons Afternoon Tea boxes will be available from 17 June.
