Happy 71st Birthday NHS

On 5th July 2019
Categories: Uncategorised

Today, 5th July is the NHS’ Birthday. NHS Big Tea’s have been taking place up and down the country; raising a cuppa, awareness and funds for NHS patients. Have a look at some of posts and pics shared pictures from different NHS Big Tea parties taking place, including our very own at NHS Charities Together HQ yesterday with Pure Offices. Trending on twitter today are #NHS71, #thankyouNHS, and  #NHSBigTea

Its vital that we capture everything that’s been going on. The NHS Big Tea survey has been sent out today using smart survey. Please do complete it, its very quick and easy to fill in. Please send responses by 17th July so that we can see the full brew. We will collate, share and publicise the information. Remember this is our bench mark year, we are not compairing this year to NHS70 and the Big7tea; NHS71 is where we build from.

A more indepth review and consultation of the NHS Big Tea will take place in August/September regarding the process, resources, website, support, strategy and suggested developments for next year.

And its not just tea, we also do coffee!! NHS Charities have now got our very own brand new coffee brand 1948 Bevan Blend launched today by Frontline Coffee Company. The guys from Frontline Co are also walking 137 miles this week for NHS Charities Together, a mile for every member charity finishing at Regents Park on Saturday with Walk for Wards. You can follow and support them on @frontline_co or check them out on  just giving

We are really pleased that this year’s national Game Fair, festival of the great british countryside, at Hatfield House on 26th – 28th July is supporting NHS Charities Together. The Game Fair draws hundreds of thousands of people from all over the country so this is a great opportunity to publicise the amazing work of NHS Charites to such a large ground. The Game Fair is supporting NHS Charities Together through their shop and drop service which is run by young volunteers from Warwick and Leamington Air Cadets squadron.

As you will see our website is open for a soft launch. Please have a look around, let us know what tweaks are required. We will then publicise and launch with the public in time for our official rebrand launch at NHS Expo on 4th and 5th September. Please do send in your news stories for us to share on our news pages, showcasing the fantastic work of the sector. We are also working on the best format for our new Discussion Forum in the Members Area for members to share best practice case studies, ideas, questions, etc. If you have any log-in issues please contact us on info@anhsc.org.uk

This is the first stage of our ‘embracing digital’ agenda. Further development and more resources on the Members Area is the next phase. We are also now tweeting from @NHSCharities and have over 100 new followers in the last 2 weeks. A closed FaceBook group for the Big Tea is also available for members and we are now also on LinkedIn. Please do follow us.
